Daughters of Zion. 

We welcome you to the Daughters of Zion women of CAC Kingswell site, and we know that the Lord will bless you. We believe that we need to encourage and motivate women to be an agent of positive change in the Church and community. Last year we had a powerful  and successful women conference 2009 titled “Empowerment through Submission”. We believe women can be empowered through submission to the Holy Spirit, their husband and the Church Authority. This year we are planning another power packed conference 2010 titled “Inner Beauty”. Daughters of Zion conference comes up the last Saturday in July every year. We encourage women to willing accept submissive position in the church in terms of what they contribute spiritually to the church and not in terms of how they look or dress.  Focusing on dressing rather than the substance of worship distorts the gospel.    As a rule all Daughters of Zion are modest.

Every woman must live a fulfilled life that pleases God; she has to have her foundations in Christ Jesus.  Women who build their destinies in Christ are those who subject themselves to all the injunctions in the bible including submission to the husband and the Church Authority. Ignorance is the worst killer disease, if a woman is unable to discover herself, she wouldn’t be able to recover most things.

We believe in the New Testament which makes it plain that Christian women, have been given spiritual gifts (1Corinthians 12:7-11). Women, like men, are to use these gifts to minister to the body of Christ (1 Peter4:10); their ministries are indispensable to the life and growth of the church (1 Corinthians 12:12-26). There are many examples in the New Testament of such ministries on the part of gifted Christian women. To be true to the New Testament, the contemporary church needs to honor those varied ministries of women and encourage women to pursue them. Here in Christ Apostolic Church Kingswell, we encourage women to use their spiritual gift to edify the body of Christ.  Women were visible in the ministry of Jesus Christ and in Acts 1vs 14 women were part of the foundation of the New Testament ministry.  They were among 120 members who were praying and fasting in one accord when they received Holy Ghost visitation and subsequently empowered to advance the movement of Christianity.  Women have been known to be faithful and the first sets of evangelist appointed by our Lord Jesus Christ were women. In accordance with the scriptural and prophetic provision in the Bible, women were directed to carry the news to the Apostles that Jesus has risen. This is part of tenets of Daughters of Zion.

Members of Daughters of Zion occupy various leading position in the church, including the Sunday school dept., Welfare, Ushers, Choirs, Prayer Intercessors and Mission Squad. The Daughters of Zion belong to the ministry of anointed and submissive women and through this women will be able to achieve the purpose of God for them in the church, Community and our Nation as a whole. Daughters of Zion women objective is to empower women through prayers and the word of God,  to establish them as women of virtue at home, in church, in our community, in ministry and in business. To each God has given a measure of faith according to their abilities. Our job as Daughters of Zion is to multiply or put to work that faith by using our abilities and strength to their fullest by meeting every last Sunday of the month where we pray and encourage ourselves to be a good vessel in the body of Christ.

Our Aims and goals include the following:

To unite all women in the Church through prayers

To produce anointed and submissive women through the word of God

To develop spiritual strength of the women in the Church

To encourage and motivate women to be an agent of positive change in the Church

To motivate women to use their gift to achieve their God given purpose

To encourage women to build a Godly family by being submissive to the leadership of their husband and the Church Authority.

To create a network of counseling to support women on marital and emotional issues.
